Our beautiful modern bracelet is made of smoky quartz beads. The beads come from a smoky brown crystal quartz that got its name from its color. Since ancient times it has been considered a protective stone against danger and is said to help with coping with grief. Smoky quartz with a particularly dark color is also known as "morion".

The 6-syllable mantra Om Mani Padme Hum:

Om symbolizes the body of all Buddhas and is the beginning of almost every mantra. Mani means "jewel" in Sanskrit and refers to the attribute that Chenrezig holds in his two middle hands. Pad Me means "lotus" in Tibetan, which he holds in one of his left hands. Hum symbolizes the thoughts of all Buddhas and is the end of many mantras.

Each syllable also symbolically closes one of the doors to painful rebirth in the 6 realms of gods, demigods, humans, animals, hungry ghosts and hells, also called Samsara
